One of the founding principles of the company was that a significant proportion of its profits would be used to fund charitable causes. All of the current directors and many of our staff were recruited on this basis, and are totally committed to maximising charitable giving. |
Oxfam Wells Project in Ghana For almost ten years, Tomlinsons totally funded the Oxfam Wells project in Ghana. This project provided clean drinking water to one of the poorest areas in Ghana, and made a dramatic impact on the quality of life of many Thousands of people. For more information about Oxfam please click here.To this end, the Tomlinson Charitable Trust was established, and to date has provided over £600,000 in funding to Oxfam, Sightsavers International and other charities. |
Sightsavers International Project in Kenya During the next three years we are committed to take over the entire funding of Sightsavers International's comprehensive Eye Care Project in Kenya's Rift Valley. It is expected that over £300,000 will be provided in this period, to support Sightsavers impressive work. It is also planned that two of our employees will have the opportunity to visit the project in spring 2003. They will experience, first hand, the dramatic impact a committed team of employees can have working with a committed charity to improve people lives dramatically overseas.
