£700 off ‘the most beautiful sofa imaginable’
Europe’s largest antique warehouses Winter Sale begins 10am December 27
Unlike mass-market furniture sales that are often just reductions on over-inflated original prices, Tomlinsons Antiques, Europe’s largest antiques warehouse, launches its genuine sale the day after Boxing Day on fabulous items that can’t be bought anywhere else. In particular, the company’s exquisite new sofa range will be available until January 8th with up to £700 off*.
The winter sale period will run from December 27th through to January 8th inclusive.
Tomlinsons, based in Tockwith between Harrogate and York, is offering 10 per cent discount on all restored antiques as well no VAT on oak reproduction furniture and new sofas.
More than 2,000 items are brought into Tomlinsons’ warehouse each month while 5,000 pieces are in stock at any one time. The volume of antiques passing through Tomlinsons means that prices are always reasonable and visitors can be guaranteed to find what they are looking for.
In addition to restored antiques, Tomlinsons also manufactures a comprehensive range of fine quality reproduction furniture at very competitive prices. High quality oak is a company speciality.
A recently launched addition to the reproduction range is the series of four beautiful hand-crafted sofas and chairs that hark back to a time when Britain was synonymous with true craftsmanship.
The sofa range is the only one of its kind in the UK and allows people to authentically recreate the period look in their homes with the finest quality furniture that not only looks the part but will also last a lifetime.
Architect and interior designer Annette Peters says, “It’s sometimes hard to find a sofa that looks as good as an original antique and is as well-made. The real thing is often in such poor condition that it’s impossible to effectively restore. So I was delighted when I came across Tomlinsons new upholstery range, which really is the most beautiful range of sofas imaginable’.
Tomlinsons’ sales director Sarah Worral says: “Our winter sale provides people with the perfect opportunity to buy finest quality restored antique furniture at discounted prices. January is a good time to buy antiques. We find that many people come in keen to update and organise their homes for the New Year so, for example, we sell a lot of desks in this period. Victorian desks are particularly popular but we stock all types of period styles.”
Private customers can benefit from buying through a trade dealership by joining Tomlinsons Fine Furniture Club. Membership of the club costs £3 to join and the money going to the Sight Savers charity brings with it certain privileges and benefits, including access to the restoration and upholstery service, a regular newsletter, events, special offers and the personal service from the in-house experts.
